The 1961 Hallicrafters SX-62B was a entertainment version of the earlier Ham focused SX-42 radio. These are tube radios. Both covered AM broadcast up to the FM band. The SX-62 is almost implossible to turn into SSB transmissions while it can be done on the SX-42. Both radios supported two 6V6 in push pull producing some very nice sounding radios. To restore one of these you need space set a side for the duration of the restoration and a lot of patience. You will also need to bring your AC voltage down with either a bucking transformer or use a variac.
