Michael J. Fox was interviewed for two hours in New York, NY. Fox talked about his early years breaking into television in his native Canada, starring in the CBC series Leo & Me. He described his move to the U.S. and his early roles in features and television, including parts on Lou Grant and Family and a regular role on the short-lived dramatic series Palmerstown, U.S.A. He spoke in great detail about his big break playing Alex P. Keaton in Family Ties. He talked at length about his casting in the series and his experiences with his fellow actors. He talked about his feature film career highlighted by Back to the Future and his later series work as the lead actor and executive producer of the television series Spin City. Fox also discussed his work in the fight against Parkinsons Disease, for which he was diagnosed in 1991 and went public with in 1998. He talked about his current projects which include voice-over roles in feature films. The interview was conducted by James Moll on May 10, 2001.

Michael J Fox went to my mom's high school in Burnaby BC and was friends with one of my mom's friends. Why couldn't my mom have been friends with him?! Arrrrrrrrrgggh! She probably passed him like, a thousand times in the hallway and never talked to him once! Anyways I'm looking at her yearbook right now. And his picture is there: Mike Fox.

The reason why he moves a lot is because he has Parkison's Disease where he looses control of his body. I love Michael J. Fox he's a legend and I'm glad he's still a jokester even though it must be tough for him! We love you MJF!
