@Oddwun Sorry, but based on this logid the further people go away from using sticks and stones as instrument the less they get away from making music. :p
It's good to respect the old masters but let's not get stuck in the past.

@Nyar1ath0t3p True, but don't say something against Cream ;)
-
how come new bands can't get it right like these bands did?
-
Classic early doom metal
-
Titties and Metal=awesomeness!!!

This band is amazing, fuck knows how they didn't make it huge, every song on this album has a simple but amazing riff, vocals are excellent and lyrics above average for the genre! Thye should make an anvil type documentary in a vain attempt to justify why they werent at least as big as sabbath!
-
@Nyar1ath0t3p Not quite metal? Black Sabbath's, specifically Tony Iommi's, detuning is the basis for all heavy metal. This includes all subsets that people want to split it up into. Black Sabbath is the definition of heavy metal and the farther a band gets away from Sabbath, the farther that band gets away from being metal.

@Nyar1ath0t3p Depends on which album you're talking about, really.
-
@Nyar1ath0t3p not to piss you off or anything but according to the metal family tree they belong to to early metal

@80rockrules Black Sabbath... new wave of British Heavy Metal? Uhh, excuse me if I'm wrong, but their first album came out in 1970 so what would be the OLD wave of British Heavy Metal? Cream?
Whatever, its not really important. I love Black Sabbath, they basically founded one of my favorite genres of metal, doom. But Black Sabbath is more like the metal missing link, they're not quite rock, but they ain't quite metal, and however you put it we might not be here without them.
