About Praha Depart
PRAHA DEPART formed in 2004. Kameya(Gu.) and Mai(Vo.) from Hokkaido formed duo to create music that combines new wave and grunge rock. Prior to the band, Kameya and Mai had formed "kumanbati", or hornet, in 2002 in Yamagata where Kameya went to art school. Going south and moving to Tokyo, Kameya and Mai met Jumpei(Dr.) who joined PRAHA DEPART in 2006, adding Latin and Afro rhythm to their music. Based in Tokyo, they recently focus on playing and producing shows with other bands. If you like our music and have some events, please contact us! We want to play in foreign countries!
