6News Feature: Square Dancing

Members of Happy Time Squares (a square dancing group in Lawrence) are in full swing for a new season, and excited to teach newbies the art of the square dance. Like always, we're on the scene covering it ... (or at least, we've brought the president Frank Alexander and Betty, his wife [vice-president] in to talk about it, and they brought a promotional CD that I could use so I didn't have to bother one of the grumpy cameramen who would have driven like a bat out of hell to get on the scene and then taken his dear sweet time getting set up. No - really there was only one cameraman who was like that ... but I can't remember his name.

Notes to viewers: I was a street features reporter for 6News, a local news channel in Eastern Kansas (the folksier, cuter news, the better) for a very, very short period of time. If you think I'm not very good - you're not the only one. I'll be the first to agree, and I'm posting these here because, well, it's important to laugh at yourself -- a little levity makes for a longer life.
