One suggestion Shawn... When you do modifications with dark e-cig, black straw & tiny parts, maybe you should be sure you wear a light colored shirt like in this video, #11... It was very hard to see the parts with your black shirt as background. Just an FYI for the future...

USB from a computer outputs 5v which is regulated to 3.2 or something by the battery. MOST car usb chargers output 12v, which as you could realize would cause some problems. If you look at the car adapter, they will have the UL sticker or imprint into the plastic and it will read input =12v dc output=12v OR output=5v. The 5v adapter is what you want. My 5v adapter works fine with my 510pcc and my 1000mah ego passthru

I agree and perhaps it may also have something to do with the Voltage oscillating? For example a cig lighter port may go directly to the battery and starting the vehicle may cause a spike.

If that is the case then an interface between the charger and car adapter to smooth it out and keep it constant?

Shawn, thanks for making these vids! I've smoked for about 15 years and I've gradually increased to 2 packs/day of Ultra Lights.

Just like you mentioned at the start of the series, I have been starting to find it hard to ignore the immediate health affects, and just how crappy I feel.

I've been considering an E-cig for a long time, but I think you've convinced me that its time to give it a shot.

I would be extremely interested in seeing the results of a new physical.

odds are the car USB port you use is rated lower than the input needed for the passthough to function correctly

510 needs 5V 500mA minimum ( proly more if the battery is low )

(901 needs around 1000mA )

if you need a car USB adapter that works

just google "car usb charger 5V 1000mA "or 1500mA if you plan on using something other than the 510

Pass thru's are a must for anyone who sits at a comp for more than an hour (the majority of us lol) works amazing.
