I saw Edlinger climb in Ceuse in the 80s...what a legend! so what if he was a dancer on the rock? watching him climb was pure. he was a vertical ballet dancer to me, and for that he was the model all of us tried to emulate. (granny, anyone??? only french people will get that one! ;-)

Long time and I am still so impressed. I was living in Chamonix at the same time as Patrick was doing his famous climb, I remember Patrick and his mono skies in Les Grand Montages. While I was doing 65 Degree down backside of Monte Blanc

beautiful Limestone!!!! Where is this?

I believe that he was posing when he slipped . In other climbing videos he acts as if dancing, exaggerating the moves unnecessary. In the old days his style was a reference but nowadays it seems unnatural. Not inspiring.
7:23...his foot slipped...but he is so in control...its nothing at all :D amazing!!
