carbon is one of the world's best filters but as a smoke property it's best if the smoke is still hot to activate carbons, if you use a ashcatcher before a carbon filter the smoke is cooled down, and during water diffusion the smoke gets somewhat "damp" because they've passed through H20 which hinders your carbon filter, It makes a difference,not a WHOLE lot but I always say, there's a right way of doing things, and a wrong way of doing things!

@FrankyTripTitz he puts the carbon filter on the ash catcher because you are not supposed to have any water diffusion before the smoke hit the filter. It's science

Whats the point in using an ashcatcher if the carbon filter is placed on it so the ash cant get through? or are you using it as a precooler? You would get much better results if youput the carbon filter on the downstem. Just means cleaning the ac a bit more.

@Feefed911 he doesnt have roor downstems in either the bong or the ashcatcher he has different ones for personal preference
