@oscie1 I was on about incorrect alignment in the arm, wrist. Have you seen how beginners in martial arts, cock their wrists, which if hitting a target would cause a break. Tai chi does help doing slow movements, to aim for correct alignment. Yes the most important is pelvis/waist but to strike you need thay alignment in the arm/wrist. Slowness gains speed and weakness, strength is an old saying with regard to Tai Chi
@Theknobby7 Your giving out shit advice, the most important alignment is in the pelvis and waist, once it is held in the proper position you can go as fast as you like.
@chenshi56 Hi! dont know Wudang Tai Chi but the idea of slow movement is to allow all body tissue, tendons and muscles to be in unison. Take Taekwondo and Karate the speed you punch and kick brings out incorrect alignments, easy corrected by doing them slower. When each part of your arm knows where to go you punch faster, no wrong alignments, no broken wrists. Slowness you gain speed and softness more power
Excellent !........does't this form incorpoarte Wudang qiqong into It?Slow movements....that's great for "old folks"?maybe?..I'll find a nice Chinese instrumental music of 17:50 for this video!
