Ferrari 458's are going up in flames all over the globe and automotive journalists are loving it. But why do these exotics go up in flame? Is it a catastrophic mechanical failure? Driver error? Alex Roy and J.F. Musial discuss these things and more. On the Road Testament.
can you really break a 458 by trying to? i cant break my 91 dodge spirit with 2.5.

I competely disagree with their view that you cannot beat on a sports or "exotic" car because it wil fail if you do so. Maybe after several hours on a track driving at the limit but not from some random backroad in the alps...

no no no boys, cars are NOT suppose to catch fire. and YES it is a HUGE issue wether you spend 10k or 300k FIRE is FIRE. and FIRE is bad.
Now first think of all the tech created to keep the engine safe, so obviously its not engine per say its something else. And as it sounds its once again GLUE, the same problem Lambo's had. (so much for those who slammed on Lambo)

from what i understand it is some sort of glue that is used to hold on the heat shield catching on fire and spreading rapidly. but look at all of the other fires starting in the engine compartment in other Ferrari's i wonder if its related.
I do know that on some there was a fuel line issue.
