Although I'm a huge fan of classical music, I've never heard of Alessandro Stradella (wow, he died rather young, eh?), until I checked the soundtrack for the movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". It's really great music. (& a good movie too BTW). His style/music reminds me a little of some of the works of Jean-Baptiste Lully or Henry Purcell or even a bit like Claudio Monteverdi.
