Shame about the knockdown and refusal..

GORGEOUS horse, great rider!! this is exactly what i do!! i go to a show and they assign me a horse i've never ridden before. ur not allowed to school it, so the first time i ride it is in the show ring about 2 minutes before the class starts being judged. it's tough, but it's really good for ur riding because u learn how to handle different kinds of horses and u still have to look pretty and equitate while doing it, even if u have the most idiotic horse in the world.

@horseluver12314 I think she did a very nice job with a rather tough horse---he certainly liked to charge his fences, and she tactfully got him back really well. She didn't let his stop bother her, but just came back around for a nice jump. Well done.

I give her credit, he looked like a tough ride and a lot of horse over those jumps. Beautiful riding, very talented rider.

Please go watch my video of me jumping my horse bolero!
Feedback would nice, so rate & comment :)

he would make a great jumper!

good job. Excpecially controlling that horse

@horsefrk18 They call it a wild ride because everyone else there had mega-fancy million-dollar hunter/medal horses. The fact that she rode a JUMPER horse in a really well-known ring over spooky jumps is amazing. Also, any equitation/hunter rider would know that a rail is an automatic 40 for a score, and a refusal is a big fat DQ.

You did great especially since it was an unfamiliar horse. :) Cute horse btw.

@HoofbeatsofSmokey ** i think
Spurs aren't used solely for speed... sprus are used to collect the horse up, lengthen out, listen and become more responsive to the riders leg. I ride my jumper, who requires zero leg over fences, in spurs for the extra little umpf when I need it.

I don't think quitting when the situation is a little rough makes someone "good." Sure, it wasn't a great match, but I give her props for trying, even if it wasn't a stellar round. These "point chasers" are there to win; they've done what it takes to get there. Not one of them are about to give up, at finals of all places.
