I picked this GBA game up off of ebay and the clock battery was dead, so in this video I replace it.

  • well thats great! maybe I'm gonna repair my sapphire version the same way, its battery is also broken.

    by the way, I like how you just play pokemon at your age with your daughter's game and name yourself "FUCK ME", as I got it right ;)

  • @Zole4494 I bought the game off ebay and that was the save game name. I deleted it before I gave it to my daughter. I would never make a save file named that!

  • I can tell you from experience that a battery holder doesn't work too well in SNES carts. I replaced the battery in my F-Zero cart a couple of months ago, and I ended up having to solder the holder on the back side of the board, and I had to file away a bit of the molding inside the cart to get it to close up again. I haven't had to change one on any of my NES carts yet, so maybe there is a bit more room inside those.

  • @sandmanxo Great comment! I haven't had the need to change a SNES battery yet.

  • im confused. i opened some of my game boy advance games before and they didnt have a battery inside. it was a small chip that saved the game data.

  • @247xReviews The battery in Pokemon Ruby is for the real time clock. You are right that most GBA games save without a battery.

  • do they still sell the batteries with the stem on it like in ur video? cause i kinda need one of those ;A;

  • @tigheklory I Believe the battery is used to use the ingame clock, so without it, quite a few of the great features in the game would not work (Berries ect)

  • @bgardner104 Let me know if you need any assistance.

  • @photonarbiter The mod is call the Afterburner. It was a front-light module that you would lay on top of the LCD module. Search wikipedia for Afterburner (modification kit)

  • i have a the same game with the same problem

  • Also how did you put lights in your gba

  • This is great !
