Inside The Cold Steel Spartan

I took apart my Spartan for some cleaning and to re-tension the lock spring. About a year ago I reduced the tension on the spring too much so now I am putting it back to factory tension with some pliers.

So you've made it harder to open and easier to close? Why?

So the blade doesn't open by accident from the closed position. There was very little keeping the blade closed after I had bent the spring.

How is the blade centering on your Spartan? I just got one and it's a P.O.S. (see my comment over at Nutnfancy's video.

I could feel and see the rubbing first time opening out of the box. Adjusting the pivot screw didn't help. And unlocking it?... forget it.

No blade centering issues on my end. Lock up is like a bank vault too.

took mine apart and now its got blade wobble up and down and i cant figure out why?

Really? That's very odd. I would take it back apart and make sure everything is put back in correctly
