Yes!! These two guys (and a few others) have finally taken martial arts out of the stylish mess and extracted from it the techniques that work on the streets. We need more instructors like them.

@OLDMANBADGER But your opponent on the street won't be standing upright, punching exclusively, or be moving and acting like a boxer will. One solid shot from a boxer would knock out the untrained fighter, but who's to say you'll ever get off a solid shot?

totally with you on that Drago

lol @ 0:55
punches that dude in the face

lol i cant believe that black feller actualy looked at his watch wen them guys asked him the time!!

yeh but your average trained boxer doesnt need ore than one punch to end a fight. if all u do day in day out is train with your fists, then some twat who spends his day drinking cider smoking pot and watching manga porn is not really gonna have the same conditioning. Anyway, make sure you all act first and think about it later, knock out as many chavs as you can before the uk becomes a no go zone

i get your point, i worked as doorman, and have fought a lot

Nobody will say Fedor or Ruas (or Cro Cop, Wanderlei, Lesnar, Penn, Anderson and the rest of the pack) could not fight on the street.
But if you are a "normal" person, you have to act different in a real life self defence situation as if you are in a ring or cage.
Main point:
In the Ring/Cage: Gloves, Barfoot, rules, referee, 1 opponent
On the street: blank fist, shoes, no rules, no referee, 1+x opponents (you don t know if 1 or more, so run if you can)

Yes.
But it doesn t change the fact MMA is like Boxing or K-1 a sport, and Wing Chun is a so called "art".
Watch Bas Rutens documentary about Street Fighting. "Street Fighting is totally different than any other fighting. Anything what s illegal in a ring, is legal on the street." ~ Bas Rutten
And he states not all MMA techniques works on the street, just some of them.

dont mistake a guy like fedor or marco ruas. on the streets their power and techniques will work. self defence would be very difficult against a skilled mma fighter
I like this very much!
In Today s world, to much people can t understand the differnce between art, sport, and reality.
Martial ART (Aikido, Tai Chi, Judo)
Combat SPORT (MMA, K-1)
Self Defence is a thing for it s own!
