This Swedish video shows what can happen at just 40 miles per hour, or 70 kilometres per hour, when a car leaves the road and hits an unfenced tree or telegraph pole.

  • Nice job recording this with a potato.

  • If I had 1 dollar for every pixel in this video...I'd have 1 dollar.

  • @looncraz Impressive!

  • @addemufc indeed haha

  • @iToKeGraDe Bet he aint your friend anymore eh?

  • A friend of mine hit a tree at 95mph

  • @greenjeansmjr I got one to do 115mph once, not easy, but I did it!

  • @jean1marc If so, that's a sweet hairdryer!

  • @MrGusman200 "15% less speed doesnt equate to 15% less damage"

That's right. The speed difference has to be *squared* to get the energy difference. 40 mph isn't 15% less than 43.47 mph. It's 7.89% less.

That's why 15% less speed would actually equate to 32.25% less damage.

  • @hitssquad not really. 15% less speed doesnt equate to 15% less damage, the maths behind it are quite complicated.
