Battle in Belorusia in 1941 year.The film shows the heroic defense of Brest Fortress, which has taken upon the first stroke of German fascist invaders on June 22 1941. Story describes the events of the first days of defense. The film tells about three main resistance zones, headed by the regiment commander, Pyotr Mikhailovich Gavrilov, the commissar Efim Fomin and the head of the 9th frontier outpost, Andrey Mitrofanovich Kizhevatov.

SORRY this movie is absolut patriotic and unrealistic!

everybody is acting like stupid and just wants to die. sure just run 3 minuts through artilleriefire instead of getting cover. sure germans whould not attack with TANKS and infantrie. no lets send in just infantry with normal rifles.

and the stupiest scene was the charge right into the attacking germans with absolut just pistols and a chair as handweapon LOLLOL it guess the film is finaced by putin goverment

@evasor this is-Belarusian film maybe there are some moments of propaganda, and sheer lies. But overall pretty good. Brest Fortress really resisted very long time. Look for information on the Internet.

also this movie is better than Hollywood movies about the war

@evasor and the mg in the bike was taken out by a sniper,the germans under estimated the russians that wy they were in many cases caught by surprise.

@evasor let me tell you that from 8000 men that were in the fortress only a few hundred remainded(lots of them run so it aint that much patriotic lots of them surrendered a few days later ,they show that later in the film) the first germans were cought by surprise when they get trought the bridge the russian were far bether than germans in hand to hand combat.the german infantry doctrine was based around the mg but they couldnt caryy any near the fortres do the terrain and...
