Slow-moving bicycle safety film shot in Glendale and Burbank, California by a family-owned film production company. Encourages boys and girls to "drive their bicycles" and prepare for becoming automobile drivers by learning to practice the "rules of the road." Good views of the mid-1950s suburban Southern California landscape.
But, for better urban bike riding skills:

More people, whethre they ride a bike or drive a car, could really learn something from watching this.

I agree nyyterp. We need to educate people, starting at a young age, about bicycle safety. One time when I was riding on the street, an impatient driver yelled at me, "Ride on the sidewalk!" Also, many bicyclists ride against traffic, which is just as unsafe as riding on sidewalks. Educating kids in school can go a long way.

It's a swell video. Amazing that NO ONE today follows the most basic traffic rules, bicycle or not. My pet peeve: bicyclists that use sidewalks (a major no-no!) as their personal road, where there are always pedestrians.
