I love it when we explore castles. Especially intriguing is how this one has fallen into ruin, yet still survives in spite of it. i have to wonder how many people lived here, and what sort of lifestyle it was.

It must have been very beautiful over the years it was occupied by the owners !

There was a special on our PBS last night and that is exactly how I heard about the park. Also his book, something like, "An American Farmer Walks Through England" is available at Amazon.
Fred did Central Park and 3 parks here in Louisville and a few parkways.
Beautiful castle and wonderful music too! I very much enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing!

I am fascinated by structures like this. I live in a place where a structure is 100 years old it is considered ancient!
It was nice that you had the entire place to yourself when you took the initial video and photos. Was there water in the well?
I can imagine what a busy place the interior yard must have been.

Yes it was extra special there for the first hour as the castle was all ours!
I couldn't see any water in the well but it was very deep
I bet Max would love to visit a castle

I especially loved the atmosphere there as the first hour we were there we had the place entirely to ourselves before other visitors arrived
