Love the song. Great live version, too. After listening a few times, I'm convinced the (excellent) drummer is Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Beck, Bogert & Appice, Cactus, Blue Murder, etc.) He's my favorite drummer. (Helps explain why I liked the drummer so much on the first couple listens.)

he never figured out the principle of the hook like that Eric. difference between himn and the beatles or nirvana or the pixies for example.

Epic tune but why only 9 smiles through out the whole video?? Moody Bastard. ps Rory Gallagher is far better!

TY for posting this. I've never heard this version. Just like the studio version, it' jammin, banged up, intense wall of sound. Damn!!!!!

@xavierslowhand
Its available - its not a bootleg, as such. Its the Crossroads Live in the 70's 4-CD box set!

this tune could run 20 minutes and it wouldn't get boring, totally infectious riff that shows off an incredibly tight band
