Stupid people and heavy equipment dont mix.

This machine was tipped over by an inexperienced driver. He calls in a crane service and they try to lift a 28,000 lbs. machine with a strap rated for 12,000 lbs. You do the math!

the real trouble here is 1. the first operator should not have upset his machine 2. the crane service operator defiantly should have known the limits of his nylons , i would have used 1 inch steel rigging or not picked the load!

@junekentucky to catch it when it over centers. so not to shock load the boom. he should have used cable sling no straps. or had sofeners, so the sling would no get cut, and a heavers sling!!

Land of the free, home of the stupid. I just wonder how many houses have been built by shoddy construction workers, and how no one really knows how fucked up things are because in the end they cover it all up with insulation and cheap-ass dry wall.

If I ever build a house, I'm getting bricks or concrete. Wood is cheap and vulnerable to pests, rot, moisture, fire, and dumb carpenters. Not saying brick or stone is perfect, but there's a lot less room for error or ignorance when working with it.
