Eugenio Velez swipes a base during an October 12 Arizona Fall League game between the Scottsdale Scorpions and the Phoenix Desert Dogs. The Dominican second baseman hit .298 with 49 stolen bases in 66 chances for the Double-A Connecticut Defenders of the Eastern League in 2007. Velez hails from baseball hot bed San Pedro de Macoris in the Dominican Republic.
Eugenio is the man of the moment. I support Eugenio and he is probably one of the best first batter I've ever seemed in a long time.
