your supposed to put the liner between the two foam peices accordning to the installation man.

A customer of mine wanted this done in her house. The inspector would not allow it because he said it will not hold water.

That's looks way to complicated. Also, I don't think this installation would fly in USA. But for Europe and its centuries old stone houses it looks just fine. Also, all that Thin Set like material used around drain will crack. There is no curb and no trap. Good luck inserting a drain snake through this system. Oh well...

Make sure you do a 24 - 72 hour flood test on all your Kerdi shower pans. This advice is rarely given and it is the most important step. Learn how to flood properly or all the money you invest in this new shower could be lost and then some...
