This is La Source by Alphonse Hasselmans. Played by me, student harpist, Bart Kleineweber on an Aoyama Orpheus 47 grand concert pedal harp. This is a concert etude and is probably the most difficult piece I have yet learned. I played this piece, among others, at a recital on May 1, 2011. I was surprised by how long this was compared to the other recordings of this piece on You-Tube because it didn't seem that slow when I played it.
a note of advice-
You could play this piece in time really beautifully...
Break it up into sections and do the same bits over and over and over again...
Remember - practise makes perfect
If you attempt to play the whole piece all the time you will never get it.... bit by bit - slowly slowly catch a monkey!
Well done though on your attempt! Will be watching for your next performance on youtube
