Jeff and his dog live on the streets in Santa Monica and are hoping to make it to New Mexico where they can get permanent housing. Jeff has chronic depression and social anxiety disorder and has been on the streets for the last 20 years. If anyone can donate a back back to Jeff he hangs out on the Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade. He hopes someone at the Ellen DeGeneras Show will see his story and buy him a new backpage.

  • @bittersweetism I agree with you 100 percent!

  • Jeff seems nice!!

  • Everyone needs to realize that most homeless people are NOT strung out on drugs, or homeless because of bad habits/lifestyles. Don't ignore them or hesitate to give them money because of this misconception. They're people JUST like you and me, who have somewhere along the way, been dealt a bad hand and are just trying to make it to the next day. Any of us can be in their shoes at any time - anyone can lose a job, a home, etc and we'd end up homeless. Don't ignore them, help them however you can.

  • this is just sad... a lot of the homeless in santa monica are vietnam vets (about 1/3 of all current U.S. homeless adults are), and hippies that partied too damn hard. this is why we need programs that will help these people detox, give them food and shelter, and help them get their lives back together. and also why we need to learn how to take care of our vets. we really need to make mental health help more accessible to all.

  • wouldn't you suffer more from social anxiety out in random streets crowded with people than in the corner of a restaurant?

  • great guy, cool dog, great work guys. Keep em coming because they do make a difference dude.

    peace ALL

  • Great video! Touching story, God bless Jeff and Cinco.

  • Good people. Keep it up!
