There are no words to describe Layne's greatness as a vocalist. I mean he has the most unique and beautiful voice with such power and range combined that he was so amazingly skilled and creative when he used it. And on top of that all the emotion he had when he sang.
I know I'm not the first one to say it but he REALLY is the greatest singer I've ever heard. And no one is even close.

AIC rocks! but does anyone else find this video eerie or saddening? Layne is singing his heart out about exactly what eventually killed him. this video is a living epitaph to a life cut short by junk. RIP Layne Staley.
