When I cant sleep and my thoughts drift to you
Like water, drinking in every thing you do
I think
That maybe we'll break
Or maybe we'll grow- best friends and lovers till we sink
In an ocean of emotion where you're arms keep me safe
There is no other risk or hand id rather take.
You paint my soul with the colors of your words
On the canvas of my mind
So beautifully intertwined - with yours
Everything's surreal
Every little word to explain the way I really feel
Expressed in love songs and poems I conceal
I hide from jugging eyes- I fear for jugging ears
I sit and reminisce and sometimes how I miss
The simple innocence of that one first kiss
Rain falling
Down slowly
Knocking in rhythm
Of you and you're breathin
I listen to the music and my heart keeps time
My eyes grow heavy and I free my mind
Succumb to sleeps embrace and pretend it's yours
In harmony I sleep like we did before
