I completed this CeriaTone JTM45 kit a month or so ago. It is stock except I changed out the signal caps for SoZos. Im plugged straight into the amp with no effects. Im playing a Gibson SG Standard (brand new). The speaker cab is an Avatar 2x12 loaded with two Eminence Texas Heats. I filmed this with a Cannon PowerShot A540 digital camera (including the audio).

  • Hear any improvement with the SoZo's?

  • @dudleys100 It started to sound better as they broke in - but I sold the amp a few months after this video so I can't tell you about the long-term improvements.

  • I think it sounds pretty sweet :) Nice , warm tone, or it could be the mic of your camera.

    Still pretty nice.

  • @DeivasLT - I agree on the mic. It sounded very sweet and the mic only barely captured that. I've since got mics and it makes a huge difference in capturing a realistic recording.

  • Caps don't break in

  • sound awesome..real warm

  • @DeivasLT No, I can testify... having played Nik's amps, and owning one of his JTM45/100 builds, it's the amp! If anything, the camera's actually slightly detracting from the real tone! Trust me, in person, it sounds even better!
