Testing the G-4377 Gables nav/com head with X-Plane. The nav/com head is basically just a big cool switch. Interface is a Beta Innovations Plasma V2. Getting the entire frequency requires 14 inputs from the Plasma, or about half of its digital inputs. A plugin for X-Plane reads the Plasma and writes the nav frequency to X-Plane's internal nav radio. I'm using Sandy Barbour's awesome Python SDK to write the plugin. The whole thing is around 120 lines, and reads all joystick axis positions as well (for future hardware).
