  • I still have this on vinyl. Its still in great shape. I need to play it again (yes I still have a turn table). there is nothing like hearing the smooth sound of the turn table, with the crackles, and pops,

  • It got used in the exorcist but I don't believe it was written for it even though both came out in 1973.

  • @mikeybugguns

I remember buying it too, and listening to it in the dark for weeks!

  • 5:18 Im sure is used in some sort of advert.

  • @supergothprodder I probably heard this all the time when I was a child as I was four years old when this was released and my brothers used to listen to this record a lot. I keep seeing the sea front and a white church when I listen to this, sunshine and clouds slowly mounting. Also the bells bring me images of funerals, funeral mourners and young children and people going to a wedding. Absolutely beautiful composition.

  • @Catperson1013 Look for Rock On - 1974. That's the one I got a copy from for my computer. :)

  • @mikeybugguns Ditto, iv got it on vinyl as well, i used to fall asleep to it in high school

  • I first hear Tubular Bells when it was played on our local AM radio station as the theme from the movie "The Exorcist" (by the way, my uncle had a part in that movie). I immediately went out and bought the 45 rpm record. Later, I got the album and played it endlessly. I still have it, but my turntables quit working years ago. One of these days, I hope to get a machine on which I can play the album or find a CD of Tubular Bells -- or both.

  • 6:56 is amazing :D

  • @BotherationIsZero :not just yours, one of all times best!!

  • @supergothprodder I find it awesome that you were exposed to this music at such a young age... it says a lot about who we are, the music we listen to :)
