btw the turning point for them was the coaching change in mid-february that year, it changed EVERYTHING.

Really? Because even most Pens fans in '08 were surprised that the team pushed it to 6 games. Wings were by far the better team. But in '09 the Pens seemed like they had stepped it up in the playoffs, despite a poor regular season.

This series really decieved me I was dead afraid of Carolina because they seemed to be a team of destiney and they had Cam Ward who can win a series on his own I really thought this series would go 6 or 7 games, but it was Game 2 that I realized Carolina couldnt match the Pens depth plus they had no one to defend Malkin

messd up thing was in 2008 i thought the pens were gonna kill the redwings iwth crosby and malkin playing like that with THAT OFFENSE and they were a powerhous all year, i thought the redwings would lose in 5 or maybe 6 at best and they ended up taking it in 6
2009 i thought the penguins had no chance in hell against the redwings, more inconsistent all year and osgood and the detroit fundamental game and defense was so great... then the penguins won it in 7
