@whitechocolatekw, I hate hate hate the pen! I find it easier to have someone else do the injection for me, the only time Ive done it myself was for my video for a school project. I also have Still's.

I'm sorry you have to fight this since childhood, but you are positive, beautiful and the world is out there for you to do what you want with it! I am so glad I got it over with, whew. Hi,I have RA and I'm about to take my first shot, now I know I probably should get drunk first lol. I gotta get the guts up lol. How long did it take for the med to begin helping you? I am hopeful it will be within a few weeks hopefully, fingers crossed. Did you say you have RA as well?

It is pretty tough, especially with the pen. I would suggest shooting up (haha) in your stomach instead. I just did that for the first time instead of in the thigh on the recommendation of a friend and it is SO much better. I noticed good results within the first two weeks actually, but I was also coming off of MTX too. I have a systemic form of RA called Still's Disease and got sick at age 5. Good luck with your shot and I hope it helps you as much as it has me!
