Oh WOW, just your luck. Let me know if you're in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I'll be there next week dropping off some supplies for my son who goes to McMaster U. Maybe you'd like to see how your TL does against a Chrysler 300c SRT8? My interior is full of plastic, but I've got a HEMI. Let me know.

Obviously I've been in a TL, and obviously I know what I'm talking about. The old CTS had a nice interior, but what ruined it was a weird looking center stack. Other than that, materials etc, was terrific and build quality was great. Now go take a look at the new CTS vs the new TL, tell me what you think of the TL's fake carbon fiber trim and molded plastic door panels vs the CTS french stitched dash and sappelle wood trim.
p.s. I'll race you and you'll LOSE

@th3ha1og0d Not Sure if you've ever been in a TL but man you must have terrible taste in interiors. The CTS interior is hideous! I have an 08 type-s 6 speed and although it is front wheel drive (which is not ideal) it would kill a CTS v6 in a race and the interior is light years ahead (with very minimal plastic). Both are great cars but fit and finish in Acura is much better.

@abram7117 I've got the 3.6L. It is Diamond White with a saddle interior.
The car had an impressive service record, oil changes every 3 - 4k miles, all of the factory maintenance (performed at the Cadillac dealership)., etc...the carfax report was 1 1/ 2 pages long. All in all I am very pleased with the car.
-
@alnebular DId you get the base 2.8 or 3.6?
-
@acuratlnigga That sounds like the typical american made car, thanks for the info.
-
They don't have many problems, '05 is the year when the 2.8 is standard and the 3.6 is the optional engine. Both great, global engines which are class competitive and run on REGULAR fuel. I would recommend a good test drive, and if it feels good on the road you have nothing to worry about. 1st gen CTS's are very solid. (Just make sure you can get the service records from the 1st owner).
i got my 03 CTS .. great car
