http://www.untitled-document.org/ LA National Organizationfor Women Chief Endorses Obama I : Home Depot Center Carson CA 10/04/08 Shelley Mandell, who is the President of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Organization for Women and a self-described lifelong Democrat, has endorsed Sarah Palin. In front of a crowd of 20,000, Shelly Mandell introduced Palin and she had a lot of VERY good things to say about her.I know Sarah Palin cares about womens rights, Mandell said. As vice president, she will fight for you. She cares about our children and she cares about womens lives.
And then, as she handed over the microphone to Sarah Palin, Mandell said;
this is what a feminist looks like

  • I went to the Burlingame Fund Raiser. Gov. Sarah Palin spoke and we raised 2.5 million dollars. Sarah gave a speech and mentioned the Carson Rally. She said that she felt energized by the Carson people.

After the brunch all the protesters were gone, however, the supporters were still there holding signs.

My 16 year daughter asked if she could come with her us (her mom and dad). My daughter loves Sarah. Is it possible for McCain/Palin to win CA?

  • Massive Crowd! Go Sarah!

  • I wonder if you are so adament about Obamas outright lies? When in fact I am not lying. Is she not a now chief? It is a headline which is meant to pull in. It is also meant to be pithy. That is its purpose. If you have an issue with that then cry foul to your pick of newspaper across the land.Or any online ad.

  • I already said that if it said "NOW L.A. Chief Endorses Palin" it would at least be technically correct, but still purposely misleading. When you communicate in a public forum you have a responsibility to be correct. When you are not, you will hear from people like me. You are wrong and you don't like being told so, clearly. I'm done.

  • Its headline get over it.

I do clairfy thru the video.

Headlines get people to view. Its what they do. She is a NOW Chief is she not?

Would it b emore useful to you to put as a Headline:

"Now Does not endorse Palin or for that matter any republican ever, but the President of LA Now Does, but just to clarify Mandell is speaking on her own behalf". Thats compelling, not.

The bottom line is she is endorsing a Republican, you do not like it, and therefore do not like the headline.

  • It is important to clarify exactly whom you are talking about. NOW Chief implies the national leader of the organization. For clarity, the chapter should be named. Note that Mandell herself makes sure to clarify that she is not talking on behalf of the organization, but on behalf of herself personally. She apparently understands the importance of beign precise. It is easy for people to misunderstand your message when you are not clear, so your aim should be to be as specific as possible.

  • Is she not a now chief?

  • Your headline says "NOW Chief" not "NOW L.A. Chief" -- so your headline is flat-out wrong and purposely misleading.

  • What part of reading dont you get? The now *CHIEF* not now. The NOW LA Chief is who? the person in the video. Just skip the reading part and watch the video. It will be easier to understand for you. Then you can try and belittle her like all the other Dems in this thread. Catch up geez.

  • The headline above this video is incorrect. The National Organization for Women PAC has endorsed Barack Obama and Joe Biden. No chapter of NOW has made a contrary endorsement.

  • And the communist party and new party supports Obama. So your point is what?
