I agree with you, pfordsq.... I love Otis (second on my list only to Robert Plant) but Mitch Ryder does a hell of a job here, too.

It's Otis' show , but Mitch holds his own , the way Eric Burdon did with Otis on RSG.

Christ, Otis and the band only have a couple hours to live here, folks. The trumpet player Ben Cauley survived the crash and the bassist James Alexander took a commercial flight because there weren't enough seats on Otis's plane.

This was Otis Redding's last show before he and some band members were tragically killed in a plane crash in Wisconsin.

Wow, what might have been, eh? Great upload, thanks for sharing! Otis was da bomb, as the kids say, he just killed it in one minute and eleven seconds. The more I see, the more I mourn.

@pearsnockie I was thinking how great it must have been for Mitch to sing like that with Otis ~ until I read this. Message not the messenger mind you, that is interesting to know.
It sounds like they could have given it some work and recorded a killer album together. Great to see this, thanks SPG1!
