With this lab students can investigate circular motion in a perfectly horizontal circle and at an angle. The first of two experiments uses a rubber stopper and tube to create horizontal circular motion. With masses attached to the bottom, the experimental and theoretical centripetal forces can be compared. A second activity uses a flying plastic pig, so students can investigate the circular motion at an angle below the horizontal.
Ideal for for AP, B and C, IB, and advanced honors physics courses.
