This is what's going on in the world of blobofblue. Last video I decided to step up the frame rate, but it is very difficult with a digital camera that I must manually take photos with, (Not connected to a frame grabber or anything) which induces shakey-ness in my movies.

I have received a MiniDV Camera from one of my relatives, but I cannot get it to work. I am continuing to try and get it sorted out.

So, no 30fps for a while. Now you're stuck with this stuff!!! :D

Sorry for the lack of any content for a while. It's summer, and High School is coming up for me. I will most likely be very busy with high school, so I won't be able to post as frequently as I would like to.

Making that lightning effect was fun.

  • Dude, that is hilarious! Excellent. I also make my stop motion videos this way, since I don't have a webcam. Here's some advice while using a camcorder for stop motion:

    1. If you use a tripod, made sure to have a smooth, flat surface to mount it to avoid moving.

    2. When you take a picture, hold the camera down with one hand and press the button with the other.

    3. If you're not using a tripod, place the camera on the surface of capture, and tape the sides of the camera to the surface.

  • @WolfKraizerPrd My room is all carpet. Would a piece o cardboard or something similar suffice?

And thanks for the advice :D

  • Jk it's awesome

  • This sucks balls

  • That was really epic! The lightning looked realistic too! :D

  • Really nice and funny stop motion!

  • @blobofblue Seems like there should be a way. Oh well :)

  • @blobofblue It depends on the thickness of the cardboard; if the tripod sinks into it, then its no good. If you can stack a bunch of cardboard together to improve the thickness (durability) and the weight of it (so it doesn't shuffle on the carpet), it could be as good as a piece of wood.

P.S. My room is also all carpet.

  • Hahaha!! That's showing those clay guys who's the boss! :D

  • @TheSukmoto No, why?
