We put this video up to remind our peers that you have a voice, as soon as you choose to use it. If your government takes a symbol away and tries to hide history, you can make the truth resonate a thousand times stronger with your own 2 hands.
This is a lesson the labor unions taught us all, though some have chosen to forget it. We will remind you.
The maker of the art is unimportant. What matters is that you see it, and you have the freedom to speak about it.

Was this individual a security officer who came up and said they would have apd all up in there? This protest activity is clearly protected by first amendment rights. In the middle of the night and affecting no business inside especially makes it non-threatening and completely protected.

This is awesome. Just a great job to the 'projectors'. This takes initiative and innovation to perform a sublime protest like this. Keep up these actions. Art is important and so are your actions. They matter- this Wisconsin progressive supports you.

Ummm…? Did I imply that simply earning money makes someone a capitalist? No. BUT! If you do earn money, spend it, and financially participate in our American society; you do vicariously support capitalism even though your politics may not.
BTW, Google “Capitalist Definition.” The context in which I used the term was a person that supports capitalism. USA! USA! USA!

"Offensiveness" isn't a matter of fact. It's your opinion. Personally I agree, at least to the extent that I dislike the choice of words, but things are not offensive "in fact." I also find your preachy tone and overuse of the passive voice telling; this too is a common tactic among writers who are trying to frame their opinions as fact.
The First Amendment isn't a very effective defence against name-calling, in any case; the other person's right to be rude is protected too.

Seems to me LePage is the one getting "hung up." Just because his campaign donors are "offended" does not mean he has a right to remove the mural. Whether you approve of workers' rights or not, it is, indeed, history. I don't think anyone claimed it was a Rembrandt or anything; the point is what it represents. It seems hypocritical to accuse others of being petty & defend LePage's behavior, which is not only petty but wasteful, contrary to your claim that he's serious about saving.

"It would be in your best interest to try and find common ground with the person you are attacking."
If they're being rude and making personal attacks, it seems to me they're just following the governor's good example. He isn't exactly a paragon of courtesy, you know.

And BTW just earning money does not make someone a "capitalist." A capitalist, as those of us who actually went to school are aware, is someone who owns the *means* of producing wealth. (Today this can include wealth itself, if you're into investment banking.)

...The U.S. pharmaceutical industry is an example of one that benefits from the profit motive, which encourages innovation & creativity, although even there, it's questionable about whether current patent protections make monopolistic practises too easy. Recently, e.g., I read somewhere about court's dubious ruling that a pharm. co. whose patent has expired has a right to pay off other companies not to sell generic versions (which of course screws over consumers).

There isn't such a thing, never has been. Economic extremism, socialist or capitalist, never works. The most effective economies are mixed ones. It's not even that difficult figuring out what to do with which industries. Real-world evidence is right there.
Certain industries that are necessary anyway, such as health care ("insurance" really isn't accurate), are simply cheaper socialised. We all pay regardless; in a capitalist model we're just stuck paying for profits too. ...
