i like my brinno. i use it daily. this doesn't mean it hasn't caused me some pain from time to time. ;)

i would also like the brinno to have an always on setting so it doesn't shut off at night. this is the current default behavior, it stops taking pictures if it gets too dark.

last i checked they run for about $140 from a variety of online stores. search http://shopping.google.com

filmed on new casio exilim i got yesterday. not sold on it yet but it takes 1000fps movies to bring me more balance between temporal compression and temporal expansion.

see my flickr set as well for some shots of brinno:

  • it's not totally invincible now but it's pretty rare that something goes wrong. and now that i know it can fail, anytime i bump it significant;y or drop it (which i do frequently), i wait to see if the multiblink happens to make sure it's still running.

  • The Brinno TLC200 looks awesome

  • Good information, Thanks ... helped me decide whether or not to get one and how to "fix" it when I do.

  • I love that handsome guy !!

  • Hi, Does it remove in widescreen?

  • can you video tape with it or is it only pictures?

  • cool

  • another fix for the batteries: I went in with needlenose pliers and stretched the bottom battery springs up a significant amount. still in day one of testing that method but so far it feels a lot sturdier.

  • great! I had a feeling the random cessations of video recording was caused by the batteries and/or usb drive inside ratting around when I walked with it, so those are great ideas for the interior and I'm glad you addressed that. I assume you've had no more problems with the video stopping and starting as of your brass and foam additions? those seemed to fix the problem?
