Nope, cable was working until around the end of 2009. The Starview 1 is a cable receiver. I have also joked about it ie: cutting out an ethernet port, and then prodding a cable in lol

@waqasahmed939 You haven't been able to get free sattelitle without card sharing since before Dec 2008 hence why he jokingly called it the latest "fix"

Not in 2008 it wasn't. Date on vid is December 10 2008. The box was probably faulty(in terms of hardware) in the first place, so uneconomical to repair. So why not make a YouTube clip?

A year late, but relevant. The receiver could have had a faulty main board, rendering it totally useless any way.

You're doing it wrong. I've got it working here. Not only do you have to hit it with 6 chisels in a precise manner, you have to carve an Ethernet shaped port out in the back, and shove a cable in.
Trust me, it works!
