My short video to show that there's nothing to fear about a brushless Lama conversion~

Parts used:
C10 brushless motors 2900KV x2
GWS Vtail mixer x1
Dual Sky 6A ESCs x2
Specktrum AR6100 RX x1
Esky 704A HH gyro x1

It took me quite a bit of time and frustration before getting the wiring and speed control/gyro setup correctly. With Don and others' help from RCgroup, I managed to get it right.

Once it's correctly wired and setup, the brushless lama is easy to operate and almost trouble free, much much easier to live with, not to mention the new found smoothness and power.

  • Hey Man, great set up. Does the blades you have help any when flying outside, are they harder than the cx2 blades? I appreciate it.

  • Hi there..

these blades are the Xtreme blades; they are flexible and thick, therefore are quite hard to break upon crashing; but because they are thick, flexible, and heavy, they are more prone to wind disturbance outdoor. So, I don't think they are better for outdoor flight.

The better choice for outdodr flight is the white blades I used in the other video: brushless lama v4 take two. those white lades are of the same dimension as the stock ones, yet a lot tougher.

    Hope it helps~

  • hey nice set up!!! can u plzplz make a video on how to set install the metal parts plz!!! and where did you get the stablizer???? i like the one you have on yours!!!! thank you

  • Hi, thx for ur feedback~

  • The better thing to do is, if you use a Skepctrum 2.4G TX, buy a 2.4G receiver, such as the AR6100e. You'll need to plug both of your ECSs to a V-tail mixer, plug one end of the mixer to a gyro, then plug the gyro to the "rudder" port on the 6100. The other end of the mixer goes to the "throttle" port on the 6100.

If you want to use the brush-2-less converters, then you'll solder your ESCs to the converters, then connect them directly to your 4-1.

  • if you intend to use the brushless ESCs with the stock 4-1, you will need a ESC converter, such as the brush-to-less converter they sell out there. I bought couple of those before, but they don't work very well.
