Ever closer to flying FPV with my new GoPro camera, I affixed it to the "nose" of my scratchbuilt quadcopter and flew it around the backyard, strictly LOS. The camera does exceptionally well with my homemade anti-vibration mount, and I don't notice any vibration at all. The image quality is typical GoPro - absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to get this thing in the air for some FPV flying, but I'll have to - I need to wait for some four-conductor 2.5mm pigtail plugs I ordered from Amazon. They will allow me to jack the camera's TV-out into my FPV systems on my plane and the quad, and thus I'll be flying FPV from the GoPro's video while simultaneously recording. Although the low light performance of the GoPro is TERRIBLE, especially compared to my KPC-DNR700 FPV cameras which have exceptional low light performance, the daylight image quality is fantastic even through the TV-out jack. It will be FPV like I've never experienced before, and the super wide angle will likewise be a special experience for me. :-)

@planetrob555 Thanks Rob! I do GREAT with my precision when flying LOS (watching the quad, no goggles) as long as I walk along behind it. I can nearly spot a landing within a 2' square even with some wind, and so gentle it's like wow... I can even drag the feet a bit with no problems. FPV is totally another story... Up down up down bounce bounce HARD landing flopping to one side. Nice, lol. I'll get better, I just need more practice. :-)
