Hazel has such a lovely figure and wears such gorgeous dresses!

i wish the creators would have had a zeppelin bomb dropped on that terrible Lady Berkumstink or whoever she is. That actress does a phenomenal job at being abhorrent.

@SuperYellow1989 I wasn't posing a moral question regarding the causes of WWI which is a different matter and also quite mysterious but the right of the upper classes to dictate who dies and their assumption that they could do so as some sort of moral right form their lofty position of control. The butler says it all quite often "it is not for the likes of us to criticize our BETTERS."

I can undertand going to war and fighting for a real cause, to stop the Germans talking over and killing innocent people.
But war nowdays, its so much about money and oil, you would be giving up your life, your soul, for some silly political point scoring and wealth.
and they say "go bravely, fight for your country" and all that rubbish...
nowdays you'd be dieing for your countries wealth and stupid political reasons & theres nothing noble in dieing for money.

its interesting seeing a series involving the 1st world war, ive heard so much about the 2nd, hardly much at all of the 1st.

@jharker45 Yes! She had the dog named Tricky Woo!
-
She looks like a cabbage patch doll and very punchable

The arrogant Lady what's her face plays Mrs. Pumphrey in the series "All Creatures Great and Small" in the Eighties.

@madnohten I wish she would get raped by a troop of invading soldiers. Then she might think she's performing a great service to her country.

Ahh... it has always gladdened me that Richard has someone understanding to talk with during this difficult time. Poor dear man – life has been so unsettled for him ever since his beloved Lady Marjorie died. It's nice too, that Hazel has such a kind and sympathetic father in law living with her, now that James is away at the war.
The arrogant bitch "we've sent 7 servants to the war" Who were they to order their servants to enlist; the power those bastards had was unbelievable. "

How charming to hear someone whistling the theme tune while shooting the clapperboard.
