Greatest intro in video game history.

@Sarymbo just curious (I am studying to be a video game designer) what do you think about the Kingdom Hearts method of Beginning a game? where you begin the game in a crazy dream, then wake up in the real world, get to know the characters friends and then disaster strikes?

i thought the same...till i played skies of arcadia...not to troll or anything but that game was the amazingly great...it truly was the greatest rpg..if you havent played it PLAY IT youll be able to experince another masterpiece...But FF7 is also one of a kind

Best Game ever made. EVER!

@Sarymbo Yea, also, This Intro caused sales to increase by about 23% and psx sales by about 70% that year and into the next, i honestly believe that. When i first played this intro at a friends house during the week, when the game was new people, lol, that weekend me and my brother took home a psx and this game.....

the best game and the best album of 90s came in 1997 : final fantasy 7 and Ok Computer ;)
More RPGs need to begin like this. Awesome cut scene that sets tone and scope, zoom in, start killing things.
It pisses me off that 99% of RPGs out there start with 30 minutes of boring dialogue, unnecessary tutorials and quests to go kill rats in a basement. FFS the first battle in this game is a guy with a big sword vs. two machine gun wielding soldiers! Yes there's tutorials later on, but only for materia and you can skip them. This game was trial by fire and it was awesome!

@Mrster In the PC version, the intro and the ending have the PlayStation music playing as part of the audio track. Every other part of the game has general midi music. I have played both versions. I have that patch. It is pretty cool, but I would still rather play on a PlayStation.
