WAREHAM, MA- A 15-year-old Wareham girl has died in a crash after allegedly fleeing a police officer who tried to pull her over.
Police say Samantha Callow was thrown from her vehicle and killed after smashing into a parked car in a driveway.
Police say officer Bryan Whalen spotted Callow driving without headlights on shortly after 3 a.m. on Friday.
After the officer pulled out and put on his blue lights in an attempt to stop the car, police say Callow sped up, then failed to make a turn at the intersection of High Street and Cedar Street.
Police said the car became airborne and struck the other vehicle before landing on its roof.
The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.

A waste of a Young Life, 5 mistakes this girl made, 1. Not wearing a seatbelt. 2. Not having lights on at night, 3. Speeding. 4. Running from police. 5. Not living to see her 16 birthday.
