Edgar Tafel reminisces at the Taliesin Fellowship reunion in 1992, about Frank Lloyd Wright and architecture, his own practice of architecture and Wrights appreciation of red barns.
@Skyman46 My "math" on the square footage comes from the Taliesin website itself. As for the age of the buildings, the home itself dates to 1925 (85 years) and most of the Hillside building dates to 1902 (109 years). Can you dispute that math (with real facts), homeboy?
@Skyman46 That's a very ignorant statement. Do you have any clue how much money it takes to maintain 75,000 square feet of space, almost all of which is at least 85 years old and some of it 109 years old??? Much of it was built on loose stone foundations, which are now settling unevenly and doing serious damage to the structures above them. So get real! $10.00 tour tickets are enough to keep the electricity on; not much else! Why don't you either make a contribution or SHUT THE F**K UP!
Thanks for posting...I'm a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright but the people that maintain Taliesin Spring Green and Taliesin West should be shot..they are in terrible condition and it saddens me especially when you stop to think how visitors they have every year and all the money they take in..very sad.
My math was incorrect on the age of the house...it's actually one year OLDER (86 years!).

@athompson7 Your math is about as accurate as the sarah palin's...you sound like a hypocritical closet gay boy that you are.
