Here's two Puddle songs from TV2's "National Anthem" in 2004. Mike Chunn somehow managed to persuade TV2 to run a 24 hour telethon of live music to raise money for the "Play it Strange" music in schools charity. I don't think the telethon was a huge financial success but it was probably the last time so many alternative bands were given live airtime on commercial TV in New Zealand.
The Puddle line-up here of George, Heath te Au (Drums) and Ross Jackson (bass) is the same line up that plays on the album "Playboys in the Bush" (Fishrider Records 2010). Here they play 'pataphysical bureau (from a lost and unreleased 1996 album) and Season of the Wolf (from the Songs for Emily Valentine album). Celia Mancini (King Loser) joins the Puddle for Season of the Wolf.
nice!
