Girl, I feel you on the bangs issue. My bangs grow slower than the rest of my hair, and I am like "Man! What's up!" Great video by the way! However, when I clipped my ends it started to grow faster. I am subscribing!

Great vid I have the same problem! The back grows faster/longer AND the curl pattern is looser... Glad to know I'm not alone!! :)

Thanks for the video! Maybe you should try using Kimmaytube's leave-in recipe: 2TB of your favorite leave-in conditioner (I use Cantu Shea Butter leave-in ($5-Walgreens/Walmart or any beauty supply) because it gives me more slippage than any others I've tried), 2TB Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice($5 for 32 oz-keep refrigerated), 2tsp Jojoba oil($7 for 4 oz), 2tsp Castor oil($3 for 8 oz). That's it! U'll get great results! Can get these 3 items at Vitacost dotcom. Great products for less!

Cute! Same for me-longer back, always :)

my hair also grows very mullet-like, lol! even when i was relaxed it grew that way. i sometimes cut the back to even it out. i think it's all genetics, not really something we're doing wrong. i honestly don't think there is a "magic potion" or technique that makes hair grow faster, but there are products & techniques that slow down or inhibit hair growth. so when we use products/vitamins/techniques that retain length and cause it to grow at its normal rate, we only think it's growing faster.

Oh - I almost forgot - no need to add moisture when u rebraid/retwist, unless u just want or need it. But rebraiding/retwisting without adding moisture aids in the stretching. So what I do is make sure my hair is very well moisturized on the first braiding/twisting. Hope that makes sense...

I think that keeping your hair braided is an awesome strategy for keeping it protected and maximizing it's potential for length retention and healthiness. And yes, braiding or twisting your hair in the direction u wud like it to fall when u take it out is an absolute must. I wear braids allllll the time as well, so on those few occasions I want to wear it loose, I take the front braids loose on the nite b4 and rebraid them in the direction I plan to wear my hair loose. Another tip - taking all

Thanks so much for sharing! Your laid back spirit is AWESOME!
of your braids/twists loose and rebraiding/retwisting them the day b4 u desire to wear your hair loose really stretches your hair significantly more than if u didn't rebraid/retwist. If u try it, let me know how/whether it works for u, and thanx so much for sharing your hair journey.

My hair grows mullet-ish too. On top of that one side of the back hangs looser than the other, so I have an asymmetrical mullet situation. I too wear my hair up most of the time though.
