Eclipse on EeePC

Running a short Eclipse session on my EeePC to test its performance. Machine details: EeePC 701 with 512 MB memory (no extensions) and eeeXubuntu as operating system.

With Suns Java 6 and eclipse installation from repository I have another 150 MB free disk space left. Running eclipse seems to take about 120 MB of RAM. You still can move the larger dialog windows to access "invisible" areas caused by the small resolution. Notice: The screencasting tool was taking another bit of system performance.

Compile what? Eclipse and JDK were installed from Ubuntu repository without compiling.

Nice! Planing to buy an eeepc, I was counting on eclipse having acceptable performance on ubuntu os. I will have to check out eeeXubuntu.

every time that i play a game full screen,it comes resolution notice for best resolution 1280x1024.how i remove it???
