The second chain commences, and the heated battle will decide who will play for $10,000...that's whoever reaches 50 points first. Bonus round included here.
In the bonus round, the celebrities form a question towards the given answer, one word at a time. When they're done with their question, they hit the bell to signal the contestant to give their response. Every correct response earns a half of a 0 to add to the $1 they are automatically given. 8 correct answers in 60 seconds wins $10,000. Easy, right?

  • P.S. Regarding my question, please include the 2 versions of the Instant Reaction round on GSN's version.

  • Nice to see the singular/plural rule didn't start w/ Lane's version.

Also, which has more format changes? CR's Instant Reaction round, or Classic Concentration as a whole?

    Partial joke w/ the question.

  • OMG! That would drive me BONKERS! They don't give out enough time. LOL

  • lol @ Nipsey's expression at 3:48,

  • I don't like the original payout format for the bonus game. For the last one they had, I think they had it right. It's just a shame that this version didn't last longer then it did. I do remember, however, growing up watching the Geoff Edwards version. I didn't have cable at the time, but I guess I picked up the show considering it was taped in Montreal.

  • Also, after that first week, they changed the time limit from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.

  • Well, for the debut week only, the player started the end game with $1 and each correct answer added a half of a zero with 8 correct answers is what it took to win $10,000. The end game actually changed 3 times. Beginning with the February 18, 1980 episode(which nobody has AFAIK), it was changed to "parting gifts" and each correct answer was worth $100 with 10 correct answers was what it took to win the $10K, it was changed to 9 by the March 3, 1980 episode.

  • After watching this format for myself, I'm glad they changed the format after one week.

Though it would have been better if they tested it more before coming to air.

  • This was the original bounus game; it was reformatted twice during this show's run.

  • Boy was this something to see with the close game.
